This was always very helpful for locating info quickly. It has all the monthly calendars at the front, followed by the weekly pages. The previous version of the calendar had divider tabs for each month, the address section, and the notes section. There has always been plenty of room to write details about the day, and the book is small enough to toss into my tote bag or purse. I have bought the Thomas Kinkade Engagement Calendar for the past 3 years. I love Kinkade's artwork, and the Bible verses are nice, but honestly, if the publishers choose to stay with this format rather than the previous version, I'll be purchasing something different for 2010.The only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because Kinkade's art is so beautiful. This year's (2009) version is somewhat different. Behind this tab were the weekly pages on regular paper.
There are no divider tabs or address section; just a few lined pages labeled "Names and Numbers." The entire calendar is printed on glossy paper, which, as others have noted, encourage ink smearing and make it difficult to see if you've written in pencil.I've noticed that I haven't used my calendar as often this year as I have in previous years. The paper was not glossy; it was regular paper which didn't cause ink smearing and allowed the use of pencil. I love the artwork, the size, and the fact that it has an address section in the back. Each weekly page has a different piece of art along with Scripture. The address section had a page for A/B, C/D, etc. For each month, there was a sturdy tab with one of Kinkade's creations on the front and a small monthly calendar on the back. The previous version of this calendar was perfect for my needs.
I ordered this without seeing it first in stores. Bad idea, as the paper quality was terrible. No matter what pen you use, it smears. The really bad thing is that I have to look at this calendar everyday.
His are work is the best. The calendar was great on my wall. Perfect I love Thomas Kinkade. Will buy one every year. The Fernandez Family
I prefer to write my entries in pencil. The glossy-finished paper makes that difficult. This is the 5th year I have purchased the Kinkade Engagement Calendar & this is the 1st of those years with glossy paper. The pages are high quality as well as the paintings on them. I always purchase a Thomas Kinkade Engagement Calendar for my Mom for Christmas. The price was right at Amazon & they had it in stock for delivery in time, so I ordered it. Very sturdy & durable. Easy to flip through the pages, too.
